What does creating an idea entail?

Specifying parameters Buy/Sell, ticker, conviction level, target gain (required fields). Additional fields include holding period, stop loss level.

How is individual idea performance tracked?

Prevailing market prices at initiation/closing are assigned to the idea. Current performance on idea is computed as percentage return based on existing market price (or closing price if idea has been closed) and opening price.

How is cumulative gain computed across all ideas?

Cumulative gain (also called track record) is weighted average of gains across all of users’ ideas during the relevant period. The weight assigned to each idea is determined by the ratio of conviction level assigned at idea inception and sum total of conviction levels across all ideas.

Can users assign limit price to ideas?

No

How are holding period and stop loss implemented?

They are not enforced and are mostly there for users’ reference.
